What's makes a game?

After years away from gaming, I discovered I had soured on the relentless drive for uber-realistic graphics, and yearn for stylized, artistic settings. Most games aren't that, though, so I love tinkering and modding a game to "demake" it.

For better or worse, the easiest games to mod this way are Bethesda games, though some others are possible with a bit of ReShade and tenacity. I've compiled above lists of mods to give the later Elder Scrolls entries as retro a flavor as possible, and links to a few simple mods I've made in that vein.
